Performing Producer Slakah the Beatchild releases “B-Boy Beef” with Adds on Much Music and MTV in Canada

Toronto, ON -- Last week, Slakah the Beatchild released his amazing and insightful two-part EPK documentary on Youtube which features rare footage from this Summer’s “Vibe, Love, Smile” tour alongside Swedish Grammy Nominee Tingsek and Juno Nominee Ebrahim, as well as a sneak peek at his latest video “B-Boy Beef”. This week, “B-Boy Beef” makes its official debut with adds on MuchMusic, PunchMuch, MuchCountdown, MuchMoreMusic, MuchMoreCountdown, MuchLoud, MTV2, MuchVibe and MuchMusic.com.

Director Marc Andre Debruyne (videodirector.ca) of The NE Inc. (www.thene.ca) brought the unique concept of “B-Boy Beef” to life by embodying the line in the song which declares: “we came here to have a good time, B-Boy Beef ain’t on our minds”. Set in a club in the late 1970’s with B-Boys dressed in button-downs and neckties, and cameos from Canadian R&B talents Divine Brown, Melanie Durrant and Maya Chilton, B-boying is highlighted like never seen before with a phenomenal dance scene featuring B-Boys and B-Girls from crews Ground Illusions and Twisted Ankles. Even Slakah the Beatchild himself gets in on the b-boying action with an incredible move that has to be seen to be believed!

Although “B-Boy Beef” is the final single from Slakah the Beatchild’s Soul Movement Vol. 1, fans won’t have to wait long for new music from the multi-talented Performing Producer. September 2010 will see the release of Something Forever, a 7-track EP on BBE Music; label home of Super-Producers J.Dilla, Pete Rock and Wil.i.am. Also forthcoming is The Other Side of Tomorrow, a full-length album from The Slakadeliqs, an alter-ego of Beatchild. Vastly different from his previous hip-hop and soul focused work, The Other Side of Tomorrow showcases Slakah the Beatchild’s range and musical diversity, drawing inspiration from an eclectic mix of artists including Neil Young, The Guess Who, Andre 3000, The Beatles and Lenny Kravitz. Although it has no home label as yet, The Other Side of Tomorrow featuring Justin Nozuka, Swedish Grammy nominated artist Tingsek, Juno nominated artists Ebrahim, Shad, and more is due to be released in early 2011.
