What: Community Partner, The Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto joins with China Focus Inc. to announce the debut performance in Toronto by The Guangzhou Ballet from China in "Return on a Snowy Night" at The Sony Centre for the Performing Arts on October 18, 2011. A China - Canada cultural exchange event in support of the Toronto Western & General Hospital Foundation.
In addition to announcing The Guangzhou Ballet performance, the press conference will also act as a launching pad for an open to the public, cultural exchange event between China and Canada. Details to be announced at the press conference.

About The Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto:
The Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto (CCC) is a non-profit, non-political organization with an objective to build a Chinese cultural centre for residents of the Greater Toronto area. With its grand opening on May 2, 1998, the centre is part of a multi-purpose community complex located at the south east corner of Sheppard Avenue East and Progress Avenue in Scarborough.

The 23,000-square-foot Chinese Cultural Centre consists of a resource centre, a reception hall, an art gallery, a number of studios for arts and crafts, conference rooms, and other supportive facilities. In addition to the cultural focus, the Centre houses an Asian Business & Culture Development Centre which aims to assist and promote Asian Pacific trade. The Centre is one of the most technologically advanced cultural centres in North America.

The Chinese Cultural Centre will act as a bridge between the Chinese Canadian community and other communities, so that there is a place to promote the understanding of both the Chinese Culture and traditions, and other cultures and traditions. Through referrals and exchanges, the Centre will help facilitate exciting trading opportunities and strengthen the ties between the Canadian and the Far East markets.

China Focus Inc. was founded and established in 1991 by Alice Wan, a native of China. Wan immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1975 and comfortably made her mark as a reputable, successful and established businesswoman throughout Canada's thriving entrepreneurial landscape and within the international scene.
